At Zappala Quarries, we provide a range of materials for all your construction needs in Cairns and Far North Queensland, including Gordonvale, Innisfail, Tully, and Douglas Shire. All our quarry products are tested to ensure we deliver premium quality materials for all our clients.

Cement Treated Roadbase

Otherwise known as CTB, Cement Treated Roadbase is a great option with many benefits, including versatility, strength and compaction. The CTB available from Zappala Quarries is a combination of natural crushed rock, cement and water which is blended using our pugmill.

These aggregates are used in the premix concrete/asphalt.

The most cost-effective filling and packing material is crusher dust. A recycled, economical byproduct of quarrying, it’s highly compatible, creating a secure base.

Aggregates 7mm, 10mm, 14mm and 20mm.

Aggregates are versatile, durable and provide appropriate drainage.

Drainage aggregates 7mm, 10mm, 20mm, 40mm.

All our rock is clean, dense and durable. They can be screened to varying sizes for varying applications. Other sizes are available on request. Options include:

• Ballast 40mm
• Rock 75mm to 300mm
• Rock 600mm to 900mm
• Armour rock 700mm to 1m

All our armour rock is certified and suitable for breakwaters and sea walls to assist with bank stabilisation and help reduce or prevent erosion. 

Used in civil and building construction projects to fill in depressions in the ground to create a level surface. Our range of fill materials include:
